Food Safety for catering RSPH Level 2

Assessment

This level 2 Award in the National Qualifications Framework is appropriate for people who work with some guidance and supervision. They do not need any prior qualification to enter for the award, which is made on the basis of a multiple-choice exam Programme activities can be tailored to take account of local variation in protocol etc.

The course can be delivered either on-site or at a training venue locally



Programme

This level 2 Award focuses on



* The importance of hygiene
* The food handler's legal responsibilities
* Their role in monitoring food safety procedures
* How to store, prepare, cook, hold and serve food safely

This award addresses the national occupational standards in Food Safety for catering and the relevant legislation that requires all food businesses to operate a food safety management system based on HACCP principles (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) The award enables you to demonstrate to the regulators that your staff have been properly trained in accordance with the national occupational standards
